Born and raised in Sussex, Marika attended the University of New Brunswick Fredericton and graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology in 2017. She went on to obtain her Master of Science in Physiotherapy at Dalhousie University in 2019. Marika then moved out to Calgary where she has been working since graduation, so she is very excited to be back in New Brunswick!
Marika’s primary treatment techniques include therapeutic exercise, soft tissue therapy, dry needling, cupping, and manual therapy. She is very interested in treating acute and chronic concussions and furthering her education in this field. She also enjoys working with kids, athletes, and the elderly. She has obtained additional certifications in concussion management and is also a GLA:D Canada Provider, which is a renowned exercise program for treating hip and knee osteoarthritis.
In her spare time, Marika likes to keep active and partakes in running, walking her dog, Annie, and playing recreational sports. You may find her on the beach volleyball courts this summer! She also enjoys checking out local restaurants and breweries with her friends and family.
